Il Buco Vita grows out of Il Buco, the beloved New York restaurant whose table has always been set with objects gathered from across Italy. Everything is made by hand by artisans, from Umbrian ceramics and hand-blown glass to pantry staples like hand-harvested sea salt, each carrying the small imperfections of real handwork.

Entirely by hand in Italy. Salt makers gently sweep the delicate sea foam from the surface of the salt pans and leave it to dry in straw baskets, using only the sun, wind, and sea. Slight variation in crystal size and texture is natural and part of its character.

Yes. It's 100% natural sea salt with nothing added. Keep it in a cool, dry place with the container sealed. Because it's a naturally moist salt, the crystals may clump slightly over time, which is normal. Just break them up with your fingers before using.

It's ready to ship and usually leaves our studio in 2 to 4 business days.

As a food product, Sale Fiore can only be returned if it's unopened and in its original, sealed packaging, within 14 days, for store credit. If anything arrives damaged, contact our team and we'll make it right.
