Catherine Greenup is an artist who draws from the natural world, translating what she sees into small, quiet works on paper. Her gold-leaf cards carry that same attention, each illustration touched with metallic leaf so the light shifts as the card turns.
The work is unhurried and personal. Songbirds, sardines, ferns, and topiaries are rendered with a naturalist's eye and finished with gold leaf, then paired with a matching envelope and left blank inside so the words can be your own.
Each design begins as an original illustration, printed on colored cardstock and finished with gold leaf by hand, so small variations are part of the work.
The leaf is delicate, so handle the illustrated surface gently, keep cards away from moisture, and store flat until you are ready to write and send.
