About the author: Gunnar Olof Hyltén-Cavallius Djurklou (1813–1889) was a Swedish folklorist and ethnographer dedicated to collecting and preserving the oral traditions of Sweden. His work remains an important record of the nation’s cultural and linguistic heritage.
