Gold-filled is a thick layer of solid gold pressure-bonded to a base metal. It is far more durable and tarnish-resistant than plating, and with basic care it lasts for years.
Keep pieces away from water, perfume, and lotion where you can, and store them dry. A gentle wipe with a soft cloth keeps them bright.
