The maker

Solid brass, handmade in Birmingham since 1929.

Armac Martin has been making solid brass hardware in Birmingham, England since 1929. What began as Harold McGrail's small brass foundry is now a fourth-generation family business, led today by his grandsons.

For nearly a century it has been a gold standard in cabinet hardware, prized for superior craftsmanship, timeless design, and beautifully executed finishes. It is a Calimia Home studio favorite for its luxurious, tactile feel, uncompromising quality, and extensive customization options. Our edit features the studio's favorites, and the full range of customizations is available to preview at our Coral Gables showroom.

Every piece is designed in-house and cast, machined, and hand-finished at the Birmingham factory. Because each piece is made and finished by hand, small variations and a warm, lived-in patina are part of its character.

Yes. Pieces come in a range of finishes, from aged and burnished brass to polished nickel and matte black, and we keep samples at our Coral Gables showroom so you can see and feel each one in person. We're happy to place a custom order for whatever you have in mind. The pieces we carry online are Monique's favorites, drawn from the finishes we use across our studio projects.
