WAX Atelier was founded in London in 2017 by Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault-Picazo, who began with a fascination for one remarkable material: beeswax. From their Hackney atelier, part workshop and part laboratory, every candle is still dipped by hand in small batches.
Led today by Lola Lely, the studio works with a growing palette of natural waxes from beekeeping, agriculture and perfumery, blending and testing to discover what each can do. Surplus wax is collected and remelted into new pieces, so nothing goes to waste.

Twisted candles burn for about 2 to 3 hours and tapered dining candles for about 6 to 7 hours each, depending on drafts and how the wick is trimmed.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim the wick to about 3/8 inch before each lighting, keep the wax pool free of debris, and extinguish before the flame reaches the holder.
