Sabre Paris was founded in Paris in 1993 by Pascale and Francis Gelb, born from a love story and a desire to break the conventions of the traditional table. Trained in a family of goldsmiths, Francis brought craft and daring design together, while Pascale gave the brand its playful spirit. The result was a cheerful kind of tableware, made to feel more like a Paris brasserie than a formal château.
Each piece is made using traditional French techniques, with collections built to mix and match, bringing color, ease, and a sense of conviviality to everyday meals and celebrations alike.
Sabre Paris has been designed in Paris since 1993, using traditional French techniques, several of which might otherwise be lost.
Care depends on the handle. Stainless steel and light-handled pieces are dishwasher safe at 113°F (45°C) maximum; for light-colored handles, avoid prolonged contact with staining foods like coffee, tea, and tomato sauce. Natural wood handles should be hand-washed, not soaked, and oiled now and then to keep the wood lustrous. None of the cutlery is microwave safe.
