Bitters Co. began in 1993 as a small Seattle shop and grew from decades of relationships built with artisans at home and abroad. Today it is rooted on a farm in Washington's Skagit Valley, where its homewares collection is designed, packed, and shipped.
That love of handmade, functional objects shows in the pieces we carry: hand-blown recycled glassware from Mexico, terracotta and hand-thrown ceramics from Portugal, and matte black barro clay pitchers and bowls finished without glaze. Traditional craft, sustainable materials, and a quiet modern sensibility for the everyday table.
Bitters Co. partners with artisans around the world. The glassware is individually hand-blown from recycled glass in Mexico, and the ceramics are hand-thrown and finished in Portugal.
Hand washing is recommended to protect the character of hand-blown glass and unglazed clay; avoid harsh scrubbing on the burnished barro pieces to preserve their softly polished surface.
