Our Story

Gustaf Svensson and Monique Miller founded Calimia Home out of a dedication to the design process and a vision to create spaces as personalized as their own home.

In life and business, the couple brings their professional expertise in fashion and art and draws personal inspiration for each project. Inspired by the architecture and lifestyles in the cities where they’ve lived—Los Angeles, Gothenburg, Chicago, New York, Savannah—they’ve searched the globe for vendors and artisans who create goods that live up to their attention to quality and detail and align with their signature aesthetic of lived-in luxe.

Monique acts as the Creative Director and Gustaf runs all operations and vendor management. Calimia Home is currently based in Coral Gables, with a Shop in the historic La Palma building. They embody the sophistication of Scandinavian design and the elegant ease of California style.
